Same policies, same “Party”

After the Caucus-dominated Village Board proposed two consecutive ballot initiatives that were rejected by Riverside residents by a 4-to-1 vote – the TIF and the property tax increase – you’d think they’d get it and try to find candidates who were more in touch with what residents want.

But instead, the Caucus nominated more of the same: candidates who either created or support the policies of the current board. The “Riverside Party” ticket was selected to run by a committee chaired by the wife of the current Village President and overseen by a “trustee adviser” who is a current sitting trustee. With a selection process like that, how could we not expect more of the same?

If you want a real change in direction, and a real alternative to the policies of the same group that has been running the village for years, the Riverside Community Alliance is the right choice.

Election day is April 7. Vote change. Vote Riverside Community Alliance.
